Firefighters successfully extinguished a fire on a ship caused by an attack on the port of Izmail on November 17. This was reported by the State Enterprise «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority» on their Facebook page.
«The fire on the civilian vessel, which broke out after the night attack on Izmail port, has been extinguished. The situation is under control», the official statement reads.
According to the USPA, the operational headquarters continues to operate. Specialists are assessing the condition of the object and planning further actions.
Simultaneously, efforts are ongoing in the port to mitigate the consequences of the shelling and fully restore infrastructure operations.
Following the attack on November 17, a gas pumping equipment onboard a civilian vessel flying the Turkish flag caught fire.
