International Delegation Visits Odesa

An international delegation, including representatives from the Executive Council of the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is currently in Odesa.

This visit has been organized by UNDP in Ukraine and includes five UN ambassadors and other distinguished guests, as part of cooperation with UNOPS and UNFPA.

During their working visit, the delegation toured various projects supported by the UN.

The mayor expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to Odesa, particularly for the involvement in the reconstruction of one of the departments of Hospital No. 8.

Gennadiy Trukhanov noted that while the hospital does not provide emergency services, it has already saved numerous lives, including victims of hostile attacks who required urgent medical attention. This care is delivered by highly qualified staff working under excellent conditions and with new equipment.

The participants also discussed future cooperation, including attracting international investments for infrastructure projects such as the reconstruction of sewage and drainage systems and the construction of housing for internally displaced persons.
