Enhancing Road Safety in Odessa: New Control Measures
Odessa is set to expand its network of traffic control measures to improve road safety.
The mayor of Odessa, Gennadiy Trukhanov, held a meeting focused on the damaged architectural monuments within the UNESCO heritage zone and interacted with their residents.
Recently, a UNESCO mission visited Odessa to assess the aftermath of Russian attacks on World Heritage sites.
Currently, emergency measures are being taken to restore the integrity of the roofs, excluding the most severely damaged sections where the upper floors are nearly destroyed.
In these areas, structural damages are being studied. Addressing these issues requires extensive work that necessitates approval from cultural heritage authorities.
During the meeting with Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Vasyl Shkurakov, the mayor of Odessa raised concerns regarding legislative gaps hindering residents of architectural monuments from receiving compensation under the eRecovery program.
