Advancing Digital Healthcare in Odesa
Implementation of innovative digital solutions in Odesa's healthcare sector to enhance medical services.
On November 14, master’s degree students from Odesa National University named after I. Mechnikov and Odesa State University of Internal Affairs had the opportunity to receive practical advice on psychological support for veterans and effective rehabilitation after service.
The event took place within the framework of the project «Profession with Heart: School for Future Psychologists», aimed at developing practical skills, emotional resilience, empathy, moral sensitivity, and professional identity of future psychologists capable of effectively responding in crisis situations.
War veteran Mykhailo Musayev, currently a leading consultant on veteran policy, shared his professional insights and modern approaches to supporting veterans with students undergoing internship in the psychological support department of the Human Resources Support Department of the National Police in Odesa region.
During the meeting, he discussed his own service experience, the emotional challenges faced by military personnel, and methods of adaptation after returning from the front. Future specialists actively asked questions about overcoming stress, maintaining psychological resilience during service, working with traumatic experiences, and fostering resilience in veterans.
The event was an important step in creating a barrier-free environment, as it provided students with the opportunity to directly communicate with a veteran, discuss relevant issues, and better understand the needs of those who sacrificed their years of life and health for their homeland. Such experiences will be a valuable foundation for future psychologists in their practical activities.
