UN Delegation Visit to Odesa

A delegation from the United Nations, which includes representatives from the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), has arrived in Odesa.

This visit, organized by UNDP in Ukraine, features five UN ambassadors and other esteemed guests, aimed at enhancing cooperation with UNOPS and UNFPA.

During their working visit, the delegation toured various projects that are being implemented with UN support.

The Mayor expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to Odesa, particularly in the reconstruction of one of the wards at Hospital No. 8.

Gennady Trukhanov noted that although the facility is a regular hospital and does not provide emergency care, it has already saved lives, especially for those injured in enemy attacks who required urgent medical assistance, which was provided by highly qualified staff in excellent conditions with modern equipment.

Participants also discussed further cooperation opportunities, including attracting international investments for infrastructure projects such as the reconstruction of sewage and drainage systems and the construction of housing for internally displaced persons.
