New Waste Processing Plant in Odesa

A new waste processing facility will be established in Odesa under an intergovernmental agreement with South Korea.

This was announced by the Deputy Mayor, Hanna Pozdnyakova.

The plant will play a crucial role in a global environmental initiative.

According to Deputy Mayor Hanna Pozdnyakova, the agreement for the construction of the waste incineration plant was signed on July 11 in Rome. The project is included in a list of 15 initiatives agreed upon between Ukraine and South Korea.

Discussions with the South Korean company POSCO began in Warsaw and continued in Kyiv at the ministry level. According to the official, the project involves the construction of a modern, eco-friendly facility that will not only recycle waste but also generate energy. This will be a significant step towards energy independence for the city and addressing the waste disposal issue.
