Festive Events in City Educational Institutions

To celebrate the Christmas and New Year holidays, various festive activities are traditionally organized in the educational institutions of the city.

In preschools, thematic sessions titled ‘Christmas Star’ took place, allowing children to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere, learn about the traditions of Christmas Eve, and even recreate some of them.

Additionally, musical-literary entertainments and thematic classes on festive Ukrainian traditions were held for the little ones. Preschoolers sang traditional Ukrainian carols with their teachers, danced in circles, and prepared for the celebrations by making Christmas stars and amulets.

Moreover, exhibitions of drawings entitled ‘Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!’ were organized in preschools.

At the Odessa children's home ‘Perlynka’, ‘Ukrainian Evenings’ were held. The children made dumplings and cooked kutya. Then, everyone had a festive meal together and received sweet gifts. After lunch, the kids attended the play ‘In Search of Light’.

At the Odessa Palace of Children and Youth Creativity ‘White Acacia’, a New Year’s performance titled ‘Dreams Come True’ took place. Over 200 students - young actors, singers, and dancers - showcased their talents, providing the audience with incredible emotions and positive impressions.

As part of the ‘Warm Wave’ initiative, students prepared letters for defenders. These letters, along with treats, were sent to the hospital for wounded soldiers and defenders at the front.
