Mammography is a crucial oncological screening tool that helps to diagnose breast tumors at early stages and identify precancerous conditions for timely treatment. Women over 40 are advised to have an annual mammogram, even in the absence of complaints.

Free mammography is part of the state medical guarantees program and is funded by the National Health Service of Ukraine for women aged 40 and over, upon referral from a family doctor.

Odesa's medical institutions are equipped with modern mammography machines, and a unique Family Health Center has been established at the Consultative and Diagnostic Center No. 6 for comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases.
