Radiation Levels in Odesa Region: Current Status

As of May 4, the radiation levels in the Odesa region are stable. No settlement reported values exceeding the control limits.

Radiation Measurements in Odesa

According to monitoring data, radiation levels vary from 6 to 17 microsieverts per hour, indicating no radiation hazard in the area. The control limit is set at 25 µR/h, and all measurements are well below this threshold.

The lowest readings were recorded in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi at just 6 µR/h. In Lyubashivka, it was 7, in Vilkove 9, in Rozdilna and Odesa 10, and in Zatyshe, Serbtse, Sarata, and Chornomorsk 11. In Balta and Bolhrad, it was 13 µR/h. The highest reading, 17 µR/h, was noted in the city of Yuzhne, which is still considered safe.

Experts state that the current data indicates a stable ecological situation in the Odesa region. The radiation background poses no threat to public health.
