On the night of October 13, Ivan, a machine gunner from the mobile fire group of the «South» Command, showcased his skills by downing an enemy UAV of the «Shahed» type in the Odesa region. This was reported in a post by the  PK «South».

This marks the sixth drone shot down by the defender.

«We worked in tandem with spotter Sergey, as before – accurately and coordinated», – said Ivan.

Before the full-scale invasion, Ivan was a diver working on industrial sites and a diving instructor in his hometown of Odesa. In May 2022, he returned to a unit where he had previously served under contract.

«Discipline and resilience are essential qualities in both my former job and the military. They must be developed anywhere, regardless of circumstances. My colleagues and I constantly focus on training, monitor the condition of our weapons and equipment, and practice various scenarios. We keep ourselves in shape and work at our maximum!» – emphasized the sky defender.
