This information was provided by the police.

Patrol police officers, while inspecting the area, stopped a «KIA Sorento» driven by a 51-year-old man from one of the regional recruitment centers. Inside the car were six young men aged between 25 and 30 from various regions of Ukraine.

The arriving law enforcement officers established that the driver organized the illegal transportation of conscripts to the self-proclaimed Transnistrian Moldovan Republic. His services cost between five to eight thousand dollars depending on the clients' financial status. The perpetrator acted in collusion with an unidentified individual who found the clients.

The police seized the vehicle, detained the driver, and sent the passengers for verification to the local recruitment center.

After collecting sufficient evidence, investigators charged the driver under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - organizing the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border, committed by a group of individuals acting in collusion for selfish motives. This crime is punishable by imprisonment of up to nine years with a prohibition on holding certain positions for up to three years and confiscation of property.

The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention with the right to post bail of 240,000 hryvnias, which he did not use.

Law enforcement is establishing the full circle of individuals involved in this crime. The investigation is ongoing under the procedural guidance of the Odessa Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense.
