During a fishing patrol operation, inspectors along with border service officers and police uncovered serious violations of fishing regulations.

This was reported by the Odesa fishing patrol.

In the Bilhorod Canal, a man was caught engaging in illegal fishing using prohibited tools – nets. As a result of his actions, 9 white amurs and 34 carp, weighing over 100 kg in total, were caught.

The damage to Ukraine's fish stocks amounted to 158,746 UAH. A detective unit of the National Police was called to the scene. The violator was issued an administrative protocol, and materials are being prepared to initiate a criminal case. The police confiscated the illegally caught fish, nets, and a wooden boat.
