An exhibition dedicated to the Ukrainian flag and the soldiers of the 20th brigade 'Liubart' on Unity Day.
In Odesa, police arrested two individuals on suspicion of bribery linked to the sale of fake military summons for 15,000 hryvnias. The suspects have been notified of their charges and are facing measures that could lead to 10 years of imprisonment along with asset confiscation.
The illegal activities were uncovered through the collaborative efforts of investigators and operatives. According to reports, a 33-year-old officer from the Territorial Recruitment Center enlisted the help of a 56-year-old local resident to find clients looking to evade conscription during mobilization.
They offered fake summons for 15,000 hryvnias, which would allow individuals to avoid military service. The next step involved one of the suspects delivering the summons and money through an accomplice.
The police apprehended both participants after they handed over additional summons to the client and received payment.
Investigators gathered sufficient evidence to charge them under the criminal code. According to the law, receiving illicit benefits as a public official can lead to a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.
The court set bail: 1 million hryvnias for the serviceman and 500,000 for his accomplice. The investigation continues under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
