Odesa's Response to Flooding During Heavy Rains
Learn how the city of Odesa tackles the issue of flooding during prolonged rains and what measures are taken to mitigate the effects.
Starting May 15, motorcycle patrols are back on the streets of Odesa and Izmail. Police on motorcycles are actively involved in maintaining public order.
This was reported by the Patrol Police of Odesa region via their Telegram channel.
According to law enforcement officials, motorcycle patrols are more mobile and can quickly respond to traffic accidents and apprehend offenders attempting to flee. Their ability to navigate through traffic jams significantly improves police response times.
All motorcycle patrol officers are equipped with specialized communication devices and personal protective gear, and they have also undergone additional training in first aid.
It is worth noting that for over a month now, a rule has been in place in Odesa allowing motorcycles and mopeds to use dedicated bus lanes. Previously, this privilege was exclusive to cyclists.
