A wonderful tradition has emerged in Odesa - recognizing the most talented graduates of the city's schools with a special award from the mayor called “Pride of Odesa.”

“Our children and youth have always been our greatest treasure. In our warm city, they deserve sincere support, care, and belief in their future.

We used to refer to them as medalists. Today, they are the Pride of Odesa. There are nearly 700 of them. Not only do they represent pride, but they are also a great hope for our city and the entire country.

May each of them find their path, acquire a profession, and help build a strong and modern Ukraine!” - expressed Odesa's mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.

The Odesa City Mayor's award “Pride of Odesa” is presented to students of communal secondary education institutions of the Odesa territorial community who have received specialized secondary education and have scored between 10 and 12 points in all subjects of their profile education based on annual assessments in the 11th (12th) grade and state final certification (if conducted).
