The Odesa region has kicked off a new phase of the «Shoulder to Shoulder. All-Ukrainian School Leagues» project. This initiative, started by President Volodymyr Zelensky, aims to bring together student sports teams under the slogan «Together We Will Win!».

This season features various sports, with a record number of participants – nearly 20,000 players. From Odesa, 2,440 teams from 541 schools have registered!

Today, 8 strong futsal teams (boys) in two age categories (grades 5-9 and 9-11) competed for a single ticket to the national final:

• Odesa Secondary School No. 35,
• Velykomykhailivskyi Specialized Lyceum,
• Pavlivske ZZSO,
• Saratsky Lyceum,
• Nerubayske Lyceum No. 1,
• Zatyshanske ZZSO,
• Kamytskyi Lyceum,
• Voznesensky First Lyceum.

During the opening ceremony, Anton Shalyhaylo, Deputy Head of the Odesa OVA, addressed the young athletes and their coaches.

One of the best scorers in the history of Ukrainian football and sports veteran, ambassador of the project, and player of the Ukrainian national football team, Oleksandr Kosyrin, was present to support the teams.

The region's sports mascot, a cheerful and friendly Dolphin, encouraged participants during the tense matches.

As a result of fierce matches, the team from Pavlivskyi Lyceum of the Bolhrad district won in the grades 5-9 category, defeating all their opponents.

Among the boys in grades 9-11, the strongest were the students of Kamytskyi Lyceum of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district.
