Courage in Sports: Rowing Competition in Kyiv

In the capital of Ukraine, a rowing competition was held to honor the memory of renowned coach Stanislav Zahori.

The tournament saw participation from 28 teams across Ukraine. Odesa was represented by a team of adaptive athletes – veterans who were injured during the war but are now actively engaged in sports, proving that teamwork and determination can overcome any obstacles.

Before the tournament, the Odesa team conducted training sessions, familiarized themselves with the course, and prepared for the challenge ahead, as the distances required endurance, coordination, and inner strength. The competition was fierce, with strong rivals.

During the competitions, Odesa's rowers showcased their high level of training and will to win, securing prize places. The strength of spirit, perseverance, daily training, and true team support led to this well-deserved success.

This victory is not just a sports achievement but also a significant step towards the recognition of adaptive sports. Our athletes demonstrate that nothing is impossible.

Odesa will continue to support the development of adaptive sports and the creation of equal opportunities for everyone.
