From June 30 to July 6, the team from Odesa Lyceum No. 9 participated in an international chess festival for schoolchildren held in Iasi, Romania.

A total of 84 teams from various parts of the world competed in the tournament.

The Odesa team achieved an impressive result, securing 10th place among 37 teams in the under-12 category. Kateryna Stanchak won 2nd place among girls, achieving 7 victories out of 8 matches.

The chess team gained valuable experience and wonderful memories from their trip.

The young chess players were prepared for the competition by their coach, Olena Barsova.
