New Beginnings in Odesa: First Baby Born on City Day

The first newborn in Odesa on City Day this year is a baby girl.

Ksenia arrived at 12:01 AM on September 2 at the municipal maternity hospital No. 5.

The newborn weighs 3 kilograms 500 grams and is 52 cm long. Ksenia is the second child in her family. Both mother and daughter are doing well.

Odesa has a lovely tradition of bringing gifts to the maternity hospital where the first baby of City Day is born.

The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, congratulated the first newborn and all the parents celebrating the birth of their children on the city's anniversary.

“Congratulations to all the newborns and families who welcomed a child on our city’s birthday! May the children grow healthy and happy in a free Ukraine,” stated Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.

On September 2, a total of 19 children were born in Odesa: 12 girls and 7 boys.
