February 8, 2025 marks the opening of the art exhibition «Unyielding» at the Odessa National Art Museum.
This project highlights the strength of nonviolent resistance by Ukrainians in occupied territories: resistance movements, combat methods, and real stories of defiance against Russian aggression.
At the opening, curator Olga Mukha will guide visitors through the exhibition.
Starts at 4:00 PM. Free admission.
The exhibition will feature caricatures by Serhiy Zakharov, viral memes by Maksym Palenko, documentary videos about damaged cultural sites in Trostyanets and Okhtyrka, works by Crimean artist Antik Danov illustrating the schizophrenia of occupation, and the documentary film «Resistance» by Akim Halimov.
Especially for this exhibition, the exclusive third episode of the «Wounded Culture» series will be presented — «Odessa. Oral History», which recounts the story of a Russian missile strike on the museum on November 5, 2023, and its recovery.
The presentation of the new episode of the «Wounded Culture» series and a discussion will take place on February 9 at 5:00 PM, featuring the director of the «Territory of Terror» museum, cultural expert Olga Honchar.
