Safety Initiatives in Odesa: New Mobile Shelters for Citizens
A meeting in Odesa focused on identifying locations for new mobile shelters to enhance the safety of the city's residents.
Tonight at 11:00 PM, the inaugural winter Invictus Games will commence in Whistler and Vancouver, Canada, running until February 16.
Let's get to know another participant from Odesa.
Illya Pylypenko, sailor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, veteran. He was injured in September 2022 due to a tank explosion caused by a mine near the settlement of Bilohirka in the Kherson region.
«I am currently fostering the veteran movement in Odesa. I'm enjoying life. Swimming in the sea brings me immense joy. I've started to appreciate life's little details. After training, my joy from entering the sea is comparable to the happiness of being able to wash up after a week in a tank,» – shares Illya Pylypenko.
At the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler - 2025, our local hero will compete in the following events: wheelchair basketball, 100-meter sprint, 400-meter run, 50-meter freestyle swimming, 50-meter breaststroke, and 100-meter freestyle swimming.
