Tatiana Kiriyenko's Visit to Odesa: Support for IDPs and Affected Citizens
On November 27, Tatiana Kiriyenko visited Odesa to learn about the work of social services supporting IDPs and citizens affected by the conflict.
Odesa has faced a significant attack utilizing strike drones, as reported by the emergency services.
The strikes led to extensive fires at warehouses containing textile products, including fabrics, clothing, footwear, and more, covering an area of over 5,000 square meters. One vehicle was also destroyed in the attack.
The firefighting efforts were complicated by the heavy load on the fire service and a lack of adequate water supply for extinguishing. Firefighters organized a continuous water supply from nearby sources.
Preliminary reports indicate that one person was injured.
Emergency services deployed 16 units of equipment and 56 rescuers, with participation from the “Avangard” fire department, the National Guard of Ukraine, and the Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Ukraine.
Efforts to mitigate the aftermath of the enemy attack are ongoing.
