Southeast Europe Supports Ukraine: New Defense Initiatives

A number of Southeast European nations announced their commitment to provide Ukraine with additional defense packages. The agreements were reached during bilateral meetings between President Volodymyr Zelensky and his counterparts at the “Ukraine – Southeast Europe” summit held on June 11 in Odesa.

This was reported by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha during a national telethon “Unified News”.

Summit Outcomes: New Initiatives for Ukraine's Defense

According to the minister, the additional military support for Ukraine was assured during the bilateral talks that President Volodymyr Zelensky held with the leaders of the participating countries.

Furthermore, Andriy Sybiha noted that specific bilateral infrastructure projects and energy cooperation issues were discussed with summit participants.

In particular, partners expressed their readiness to assist Ukraine in preparing for the upcoming winter heating season.

The “Ukraine – Southeast Europe” summit, held in Odesa on June 11, included leaders from 12 countries in the region as well as representatives from the European Union.
